about us
C2 CHURCH is a church for all people. Meaning it doesn't matter who you are, where you come from or what has happened in your past... you are welcomed, loved and accepted. You matter to us as much as you matter to God.
At C2, don't expect cookie cutter conformity and we celebrate diversity. The worship is a blend of Contemporary, R&B, Rock and Roll, and a Hymn. The messages aren't just relative - they are practical, positive, motivating, and more. We express and experience the power of God every time we get together.
Our church family is eclectic. Jeans, khakis, and a three-piece suit - you'll see them all on Sunday morning. We always say, "Within the context of Christ, just be yourself". Authentic is a word worn-out, but that is what we are.
what we believe
We believe that God created humanity in His image and that every person is a person of divine potential.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the highest revelation of God to Humanity and that in His life, death, and resurrection the way has been made for all to experience eternal life.
We believe that the Bible contains the Word of God, that scripture interprets scripture, that scripture is understood in context, and that "by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established".
We believe that the infilling of the Holy Spirit promised by Jesus empowers and enables us to live a life of victory and joy.
We believe that healing and miracles are for today, "that Jesus Christ really is the same yesterday, today, and forever".
We believe that God desires to prosper every believer, that prosperity is a reflection of a person's attitude toward God and themselves.
We believe that we shall all stand before Christ and give an account of our lives.
We believe in grace... a lot of grace.
history of c2 church
C2 began in 1989 when Liberty Temple merged with Pillar of Truth to become Liberty Christian Cathedral. The church grew rapidly and within the year moved to our downtown location. After a five year sojourn in the suburbs, we realized that our true calling was in the city and after much prayer we began preparing our hearts to return to our roots. Liberty Christian Cathedral became Christ Cathedral and completed the move in March of 2004. In early 2007, a change of leadership condensed the name from Christ Cathedral to C2... and since that time we have experienced continued growth.
our vision
Our vision can be summed up in one word. Community. Building community within our walls through getting to know one another, sharing life with one another and experiencing change and growth with one another... AND then reaching the community beyond our four walls with the goodness of God that we have experienced.
